#HeWouldHaveBeen55Today

Today we celebrate the birth of Michael Joseph Jackson. One of the greatest musicians to have ever stepped foot on this earth. I look up to this guy, I don't have idols but with Michael, an exception is in order. So I'm looking back on the words and music that he left us with. Enjoy!

VMAs '13

Forgive that I'm slightly late on this but I recently the 2013 VMAs. I'm entirely sure if I'm late but oh well. Anyway, the highlight of this particular night was former gone rogue Disney star's Miley Cyrus. In my opinion, I don't know what I thought about it yet.

Her collaboration with Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke raised controversial as it was viewed as "uncomfortable", "inappropriate" for viewers especially kids. But I'm like don't let your kids watch it then, it's simple as that! Miley's performance begun with her hit single We Can't Stop from her latest album Bangerz that's yet to drop. It wasn't long that Thicke joined the 20-year-old singer on stage and this is where everything went downhill "apparently".

Firstly, Robin didn't mind it. After the performance, he tweeted: "That was dope. Shout out to @MileyCyrus." But for those who disliked the show, sorry I guess is in order. But as Miley says, "It's puberty!" Everyone goes through stuff like this." In other words, I guess I'm supporting Miley. Sorry to disappoint you parents but now it gives you the chance to stop your kids from pursuing careers in showbiz like what Nick Cannon's gonna do.

Nothing else matters when you've got the approve of your parents'.

My other favourite was when Harry Styles got dug by Taylor Swift. I mean the guy is always on about how T. Swift should write a song about him. And you know what? She did.

Taylor picks up her award for Best Female Video - I Knew You Were Trouble presented by the masked Daft Punk
Taylor's speech: 'I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot, I really wanted this.I also want to thank the person who inspired this song because he knows exactly who he is because now I've got one of these.' So Harry are you satisfied now?

Proud Justin and his four moon men.

Ray

Ray is a biopic about jazz music legend Ray Charles. Ray's played by Oscar-winning Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington.

The film is biographical that shows the 30 years of Ray's life and his music journey. I watched the film on Saturday at a friend's house and as I watched it; I saw how malevolent people are. Why take advantage of someone just because they are short of one sense? Scumbags! We really have fallen short on who we were meant to be.

The performances in this movie truly were exceptional. Foxx's gift to bring a true icon's life to the film screen with a vibrant feel is beyond belief. It's an honour to be granted the privilege to look into one of music's greatest musician's life, we can see that just because he was successful doesn't mean that he had an easy life.

This is a must watch film! Experience life in the 1950s. Despite it. Love it. But most of all... Treasure the music!

Heath Legder

Hiya mate, you've been gone so long I almost forgot about ya
The chaos that surrendered your end was dreadful
You always seemed to be one with the world, not giving bull but taking chances
For a second there I thought your loss was merely a lie but it's not, is it?
A mellow, artistic, free spirited soul like yours deserves to rest in the most serene places
Seeming to portray the bad guy but really educating us about the dangers of life
Before every light was out, we'd slowly give a glance under our beds for the monsters
But you knew the truth all along, didn't you?
Hey there matey, it's been too long without you but I bet you're having fun
You are what you said you were... different, so fuck everyone's opinion
Open-minded but enough to close the mind, so sure and hopeful of life
You knew fear because you were once the character we were scared of
Blessed with a thought provoking mind and blithe soul
I have yet to mention why I admire you so much
It's not every day that God creates humans like you but then again
It's not very often that humans like yourself grasp the true concept of life
I've watched you all your films and compared them to others
You did say that people would judge what you were as a person, once you left
You were the inquisitive, intellectual type, one's that very rare in a funny world like ours
And you were right
People do show you who they really are in their last moments
In those last moments of theirs, you have the power to make them feel like crap for everything they've done to you, but then you'd be worse than them
Why do I look up to you so much?
It's simple really...
What I learnt from you is what's above ^^

R.I.P monsieur Heath Ledger. I do long to be inventive as you.
