The World & Its Sports

What I've learned in my 15 years of being on this earth is that this world is clearly obsessed with its sports. Especially on occasions like these, there are several sports going on and all are important. So lemme give you a few on the ones I know are taking place.

Wimbledon obviously!  This is a huge event in the tennis calendar and in mine of course because I play tennis. One match that I'm excited to watch is the one happening between Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Jérémy Chardy of France. Djokovic, who's currently the world's number 1st has been giving out performances which have given off an impression of a clear win going to the Serbian. Whilst Chardy, who's currently ranking 28th has also been proved to get talent and hope for France. However, anyone who plays against Djokovic needs to be on point if they want to guarantee themselves a win against him.

Off to rugby now. British and Irish Lion against Australia in Melbourne tonight. This is a chance for history to be made. Since I'm British, I'm supporting the home team and will keep up with the results. If the British and Irish Lions will this tournament, history will be made and this is will be the moment they look back in 25 years and be proud of. Both teams have had to deliver a great show to get to where they are. Both have to play their best because of no one's sure who'll win, all we can do it hope for the best. I'm not really into rugby because it seems a bit too violent compared to wrestling, but then again I don't think it'll hurt to watch one match.

Tour De France! The anticipated cycle for the whole year. I don't even know how people can cycle that far. It's astounding. I've never really seen the whole of the race but I've heard the news. Like the time Lance Armstrong got stripped of his titles for apparent doping after winning Tour de France seven consecutive times. However, I'm like someone like to do you know. It's not impossible but then again I don't really know that much about the rules of the race, so it's not my place to pass judgment.

So there are the main three sports going on this weekend that I know about. There's also golf but I don't get it because people seem happy when they go into negative numbers. So I'm completely baffled about that whole sport, even though my brother plays it. I still don't get it!

Bonne chance à tous!
