Godfather Of Soul

Who the heck has never heard of James Brown? Who in the world doesn't have a clue of who he is? Well, I'm gonna give you a lesson on him!

Born: May 3, 1933
Given name: James Joseph Brown Jr.
Occupation: Recording artist and musician
Memorable for: As one of the founding fathers of Funk music
Died: December 25, 2006

I love soul. I think it's one of the most influential genres of music there is. So many legendary artists were born during the soul reign and have left a great scar on the world that portrays them in a good light several years after their farewell. One of my favourite? James Brown. He was definitely one of a kind. Dropping out of school at the age of 15. If I were to do that, my mum wouldn't be happy and would probably kick me out. But Brown had something going for me, I have no damn clue what I want with my life.

The fact that he could read sheet music, well not like all the greatest musicians could read music. His music was improbable. He had so many sicknesses throughout his life though that didn't stop him, in some way I think it made him work harder. James Brown is one of my main influences. His songs have helped me throughout situations especially his lyrics.

R.I.P Godfather Of Soul. Hope yours find your heaven soulful and relaxing. You've done a lot, so let's show you what we can do.
