We're Literally Screwed #GeneralElection2015

Welsh singer Charlotte Church brandishes a placard at a protest in Cardiff protesting the new Conservative government today
Voice of an angry angel, Charlotte Church

The Welsh singer tweeted her devastation and claimed to have lost faith in humanity after Labour's defeat

The general election of 2015 is definitely one for the books and there are many reasons why. Maybe because shitty Murdoch poisoned the election because he wields a lot of power. Or maybe because the Tories' win was surprisingly shocking seeing as more than half the nation didn't want them. It was devastating! Especially for the working class...

The Liberal Democrats were thrashed and it was quite saddening as well. The SNP won 56 seats taking all but 3 constituencies. One for each major party. Labour won 232 seats. Liberal Democrats 6 seats. I don't give a fcuk about UKIP's seat but what was terrifying was discovering in my constituency; UKIP received 10,000 votes and that scared the hell out of my politics class, parents, teachers and I.  Like sometimes the stupidity of some people still manages to overwhelm me. Can you not see UKIP's policies!?

How Conservatives won a mind-blowing 331 seats is not really a mystery because we know the Sun played their role as usual by ditching shit about Labour.  Cameron may have won a majority but don't you forget that so did Callaghan and yet he still had a weak government. Moreover, what kind of deep shit promises a referendum on the UK's membership of the EU? Don't you know how much we benefit from the EU? If we do live the EU, see if you're gonna last another week let alone a day in no.10.

Charlotte tweeted that she had been crying at the results while Justine tweeted her support to Mr Miliband

She took to Twitter yesterday after Mr Miliband thanked the fandom during his resignation speech (above)

You did your best, Miliband. Well done! We're proud of you! Best thing to come out of the election: Farage didn't get a seat in Parliament!!!!!!

Some fans took their love to even more extreme lengths, including Susanna Mollah who painted her nails in support of Ed Miliband (above), tweeting: 'These hands marked the X on my ballot paper today'

Time to rebel against the Tories, people.

Charlotte Hall, a student, tweeted that the resignation was 'the worst thing to happen in British politics'
