R.I.P To The Black Boys of 2 0 1 4

"A riot is the language of the unheard." Martin Luther King

To all the black boys that we've lost in 2014
We are deeply saddened by your loss,
Especially when you all had such a bright future ahead of you that was suddenly cut short
We don't know the secret that death holds nor can we unveil the mystery of light
Death is feared because it's depressing and heartbreaking;
Only because it possesses the gate to eternity
If death was kind, you wouldn't have faded
Your lives were stolen by those who are supposedly eager to protect us,
Yet they made no hesitation when they shot you 12 times
You lived the life with the fact that death will never enter your heart... that's a well-lived life
Respectful of others, noble and thankful of the people that surrounded you
We have found the secret of life, guys,
The secret is that nothing in life that exists ever dies
When you died, we rose up, hardly without any sleep and protested for your justice
It's not and wasn't fair that those that cheated you of your lives were let to walk free just because they wore a badge
I doubt it would've been the same if the roles were reversed
We all know that we would have paid the price for stealing someone's life, so what are they implying by letting a white officer walk free for the 3rd time?
Thousands joined in the marches for your justice, it was done peacefully in the memory  of you
You didn't sing your song as you had no idea that you'd return home so early;
For even you couldn't stop death, he didn't 'kindly' stop for you sadly
I write this because it's a parable for immorality for our black boys
You're no longer in our sights, neither are you diminished in our hearts
We can't breathe... we won't tolerate it any longer

Always remember Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin

We can't go back into the ways of the 1960s.
We've worked too hard to get this far and I'm not accepting that we are moving backwards.

This is NOT a MOMENT, but rather a MOVEMENT
