Year of the Horse

Chinese New Year is taking place on the Friday 31, 2014.

Strengths

People born in the year of the horse have ingenious communicating techniques and in their community, they always want to be in the limelight. They are clever, kind to others, and like to join in a venture career. Although they sometimes talk too much, they are cheerful, perceptive, talented, earthy but stubborn. They like entertainment and large crowds. They are popular among friends, active at work and refuse to be reconciled to failure, although their endeavour cannot last indefinitely.

Weaknesses
They cannot bear too much constraint. However, their interest may be only superficial and lacking real substance. They are usually impatient and hot-blooded about everything other than their daily work. They are independent and rarely listen to advice. Failure may result in pessimism. They usually have strong endurance but with the bad temper. Flamboyant by nature, they are wasteful since they are not good with matters of finance due to a lack of budgetary efficiency. Some of those who are born in the horse like to move in glamorous circles while pursuing high profile careers.  They tend to interfere with many things and frequently fail to finish projects of their own.

O.W

Random words: The edited Oprah voice on the Ellen Show sounds even more suspicious when she tells Ellen her birthday plans: 'Wizardry and sorcerers, magic and red velvet!' she yells

You're a lady of many talents and skills. You are one of the most influential women the world has ever seen and you've also always valued other people's happiness over your own. So to see you celebrate another day is a great honour as you still have much more to teach us. So to you, Miss Oprah...

H A P P Y  60th B I R T H D A Y!

"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough." Oprah

River Phoenix

River Jude Phoenix
August 23, 1970 – October 31, 1993

River Phoenix in Stand By Me as Chris Chambers
Gordie:
Do you think I'm weird?
Chris:
Definitely.
Gordie:
No man, seriously. Am I weird?
Chris:
Yeah, but so what? Everybody's weird.

We first locked eyes in Stand By Me and you were simply perfect
You were one in a million.
I really think that you were flawless because you cared so much about everyone
Your end in Stand By Me was truly heartbreaking as we thought you were still breathing
But our timing was off, we should've watched it soon and looked you up sooner as well
I really wanted to meet you.
You seemed kindhearted, soft-spoken and intellectual
My class developed an unimaginable crush on you as Chris
The bad boy who cared about his friends and family even though they couldn't see him
Stephen King is distinguished writer, Ben E. King is an icon when his pen touches paper
Rob Reiner creates spins magic behind the cameras
Stand By Me should've gone on forever because there were days when it ran through my head repeated and not once did I not think of you
The laughter, the honesty and the charismatic character that you brought onto screen were hugely relatable
I truly despise it when people like you die
Firstly, your name was immensely legendary!
The work you did for the world was exceptional and seriously splendid
Though you're gone. You still have several admirers that look up and still honour your name, appreciate your talent
You're finally where no one knows you but still know you

Stand By Me

Chris:
I just wish I could go someplace where nobody knows me.

“When I was eighteen, River Phoenix was far and away my hero. Think of all those early great performances — My Own Private Idaho. Stand by Me. I always wanted to meet him. One night, I was at this Halloween party, and he passed me. He was beyond pale — he looked white. Before I got a chance to say hello, he was gone, driving off to the Viper Room, where he fell over and died. That’s a lesson.“ - Leonardo DiCaprio

Michelle's 50th

I find it slightly astonishing that I'd never wrote about you before
Though a lady such as yourself deserves praises because you and your husband made history
You've done the impossible and helped inspire dreams
Unlike most leaders, you have the kind of love that most mothers don't
I never knew what kind of difference one woman would make,
Maybe because we are so looked down on, society sometimes forgets that were aren't in the old ages anymore
A woman like you deserves more than praise,
A woman such as yourself deserves to be put in the spotlight and congratulated because you've done wonders for the world
Never mind the haters because you are a strong, independent lady that is always telling us to go for our dreams
You seem able to have the possible to move mountains as you have led several movements
The haters are secret admirers that lack the courage of admitting how much you've inspired them
So for now...
I would like to say Happy Birthday, Michelle Obama. You deserve the love, happiness, and laughter of your family filling the room because honestly, you truly deserve it. I wish you plentiful more years.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHELLE OBAMA!!

Things I Love About Life

I do love flowers as well :)

  1. Falling asleep to rain - I'm sure most of you already know the feeling but I just can't seem to comprehend what it is about the rain that makes you want to sleep. And sometimes, that kind of sleep is the best kind of sleep because you forget about your worries and troubles; stare out the window and try counting the raindrops. It seems like the perfect day, no matter how much you hate rain. The best kind of sleep is with the rain!
  2. Fuzzy anythings - I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ANYTHING THAT'S FUZZY! Whether it's a fruit, teddy bears, clothes or socks. I don't care. I don't mind because I just love them, I don't even know why but I just do.
  3.  Music - You know the blues, the shiny/glittery disco pants and tops, bandanas, big jerseys music videos, ultimate girl groups and boy bands dressed in baggy clothes. Those are the days that I'd like to go back to because music then had to mean. It showed that the artists loved what the were doing, no-one was forcing them to do anything and it was so...!
  4. My Bed - I think that everyone should just get married to their beds or have like a travel around bed because I just love my bed. Whenever I'm at school, I just wonder what my bed is doing or how it feels when I'm not around. We are just so tightly connected, it breaks my heart to wake up.
  5. The Vintage Life - Lemme me just clear this up... I'm obsessed with vintage stuff. I love shopping in vintage shops, I love the vintage days because I feel like they were the best days. Though I don't know the vintage days but I associate them with vinyl.
  6. Being alone - Being by myself is amazing. It's what I cherish the most on most days because I feel like it's my time to reflect on the days, weeks or months and see whether there's any change needed.
  7. Books and Writing - I'm such a nerd that I never leave my house without a book and a pen. I'm not one of those people that are going to leave actual books for an eBook. I couldn't imagine myself turning false pages on technology, I'd rather get a paper cut.
  8. Cold showers on hot days - While some of us dread cold showers, I'm finding them extremely refreshing and relaxing!
  9. Spending countless hours on the phone with your friends - My friends meaa lotot to me. I'd never be here if it weren't for them, that's why I love chatting to them; no matter what I'm doing or where I am. I can talk to my friends for countless hours about the silliest things and never get bored.
  10. Laughing so much it physically hurts - Don't deny it, you love it as well. Youknoe when you have those friends that are constantly making jokes about everything that even laughing becomes seriously painfully.
  11. Sunny and cold days - On sunny days, I'm just out there. Roaming about wherever I am because I want a new scenery. However on cold days, I love to snuggle up in bed or stairs downstairs with the siblings having movie marathons and when it suits me most; destroying the kitchen with friends.
  12. Family - It's one of the most vital things in my life. If I don't have it then I'm nothing.
  13. Siblings - I can't imagine my life without these four people. They make my life worthwhile when you ingore the arguments and focus on the days we just lazy around the house and scream at the top of our voices.
  14. Baggy clothes - When you have older siblings, it's fun dressing up in their clothes because you find their clothes to be more comfy than yours. Especially the boys.

Uncle Phil

You know fvck it. Fvck everything! Fvck life!
If this is how everything is meant to work out, then what's the point in trying?
It's obvious that we aren't winning this war and we know that we aren't meant to win it; but still...
It's a tragedy to start 2014 like this because we've already lost so many the year before
Hoping to leave it in the past, death is one thing that never ends
Though I do wish that you should've given us more time with this one because he was a special one
Uncle Phil, we grew up watching you!
It didn't matter what time it was because  we'd always find time to watch you teach Will, Carlton, Ashley and Hilary some valuable lessons, whilst they teased you but took them into account
We 90s' kids are such braggers!
We've bragged about our year being the best since people like you were around
But after hearing about your devastating departure, the world in a way broke a bit
Who are we meant to admire, despise and love all at the same time?
James Avery, better known as Uncle Phil; why did you have to leave?
We won't accept the fact that you got called home, even if that's the truth because we've been through too much heartache
Watching The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, I think was a fairy tale to kids in a way
It was so relatable and witty but educational as well
It's unfortunate and yet still real that we have to say goodbye to you today; as it seems to me like this is all a dream
(I wish it was. I really do.)
It's days like these that I feel like I'm on the verge of giving up but I know that it's not the solution
To be totally honest...
I hate life. I fvcking hate life with a strong passion!
When is comes to death, I don't give one damn about religion because I think that death is unfair
But I have to come to the terms with the fact that you'll no longer be here with us
So Uncle Phil, thank you so much for being here with us and sharing your gift with us
You're home now...
